Historical Background
The vision to establish Awiebo College of Education was born out of a passionate desire to address the glaring gap in teacher education accessibility within the Western Region of Ghana. At the time, the region had only one College of Education, which exclusively admitted female students, leaving many prospective male teachers without options for professional training in the area.
The committee that took such decision had the following VISION, MISSION AND CORE VALUES in their plans:
